VideoEditSystems.com offers a comprehensive, 3-day, hands-on training course for Editors who want to learn the Avid Liquid video editing software.Our "Liquid 101 Editors Certification Class" is geared for the video Editor new to the Liquid application (perhaps crossing over from FCP, Vegas, or Premiere); or just new to non-linear video editing in general. Over the span of three days, participants will be taught the essential mechanical skills of ingest/capture/logging, file & media management, picture editing on the timeline, basic audio, basic color correction, titling, transitions, keying, SmartSound, audio mixdown, file import/export, DVD authoring, and much more. Unlike the "overview" courses that others offer, our curriculum entails lots of hands-on exercises and practice. We believe that just watching an instructor fly through topics as fast as one can jot down notes is not a way of mastering Editing! Instead, our instructors work with small groups of participants (usually just one or two, but never more than four per instructor); and each participant sits at their own (VES/Delta series) workstation. This is the same workshop that we have done for our major clients including the City of Los Angeles and Public Broadcasting. Note that purchasers of VES/Delta series workstations are entitled to a 30% discount off of the regular enrollment fee. In addition, graduates of the course are entitled to discounts on VES product support packages. The course is normally offered at a site in the Los Angeles area; specific dates & location to be arranged. Training may also be arranged at your site, for an additional fee to cover travel expenses. |
